Note about our accommodation in Alba di Canazei: Albergo Aurora is the best choice for cyclists and walkers. Excellent service and real value for money ! Highly recommended !! Ugo and Terry Rosa and their staff ensures a relaxed atmosphere. Rooms offer what you need, without inessential luxury. A variety of good quality meals is served. Ugo, an active cyclist himself, likes to advise you about the many splendid tours that are within reach of the hotel (see map above). They were highly appreciated by the Australian, Irish, Canadian, Italian and Dutch cyclists. There is a safe storage for bikes. Tools for bike repair are available. Canazei has a well equipped bike store, in case of a worst case scenario. Look at the TripAdvisor site for more positive reviews. |

During
our stay in Alba di Canazei we have taken one day of (relative) rest.
That day we walked to the Rifugio Passo San Nicolò (Val de
Contrin*), where we enjoyed the alpine flora. Click the flowers at right for a selection of 15 photos of fine alpine flowers. * the valley is indicated on the map of Rifugio Gardeccia and Ciampie (Val San Nicolò) cycling tour (see above). |
